the kudu
In 2033, our College will celebrate 175 years of heritage, excellence and tradition - and with this milestone comes a bold vision for the future:
To support and maintain an already Internationally Recognised Academic Institution of Excellence
through raising R175 million

In support of this vision it would require maintaining and growing world-class facilities, expanded opportunities, and resources that will serve generations of Queen’s men. This is where the Kudu Initiative steps in.

What Is the Kudu Initiative?
The Kudu Initiative is a long-term, strategic initiative designed to secure the future of Queen’s College through the creation of a R175 million endowment fund.
This fund is built on two critical pillars:
-
R120 million dedicated to infrastructure development
-
R55 million allocated to bursary funding

Raised over 7 years, this initiative fuels the support and momentum toward 2033 and supports the school’s commitment to driving a holistic center of excellence.

A Vision Taking Shape
At the Grand Launch on 23 October 2025 (see video below), we unveiled the ambitious plans that will carry Queen’s College into its next chapter. Through the Kudu Initiative, the school aims to develop and expand facilities that match our ambitions:
-
A Math & Science Technology Centre
-
8 new state-of-the-art classrooms
-
Expansion of our Boarding Establishment
-
An Indoor Cricket Centre
-
Renovation of existing classrooms to modern standards
These projects are not simply upgrades - they are investments in the future Queenian experience.
“Queen’s College is more than a school - it’s a cornerstone of excellence, tradition and pride that uplifts our entire community.”

The Kudu Initiative embodies this belief. It is a call to Old Boys, families, partners, businesses and friends of the College to stand together in shaping a future worthy of our legacy.

We extend our sincere appreciation to every individual and business that has supported, believed in, and invested in our Vision so far.
